Football Recap: Forest Park Comes Up Short

Forest Park lost against Dunbar back in October of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Foresters took a blow against the Poets, falling 30-2. The loss put an end to the Foresters' undefeated start to the season.

David Chambers threw for 134 yards on ten of 21 attempts. Te-Lin Cabean was his top target, picking up 53 receiving yards.

Dunbar's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Caleb Tarver led the charge by throwing for 185 yards and one TD, while also punching in one rushing score. Kaiyon Newton handled things on the ground, rushing for 85 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Having lost for the first time this season, Forest Park fell to 2-1. As for Dunbar, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Forest Park didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 32-22 victory against City College on the 26th. As for Dunbar, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 50-6 win against Poly on the 26th.
