Softball Game Preview: Daniel Lions vs. Travelers Rest Devildogs

The Daniel Lions are taking a road trip to face off against the Travelers Rest Devildogs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Daniel has given up an average of 9.7 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Daniel heads in on the heels of a playoff game on Tuesday. They came up short against Fountain Inn, falling 12-2.

Daniel saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sophie Ayers, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Travelers Rest suffered their biggest defeat since March 13th on Tuesday. They lost 15-1 to Westside.

Kathryn Tankersley was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Daniel has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-20 record this season. As for Travelers Rest, they now have a losing record of 12-13.

Daniel beat Travelers Rest 13-8 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Devildogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
