Softball Recap: Meadowcreek Comes Up Short

Meadowcreek managed to slip by Osborne the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Mustangs came up short against the Cardinals on Monday, falling 28-8.

Meadowcreek saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adilene Hidlago, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another was Lakea Fields, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Meadowcreek's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Osborne, their win ended an 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-12.

Looking ahead, Meadowcreek will challenge Berkmar at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Osborne, they will be playing at home against Campbell at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cardinals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Spartans have averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season.
