Basketball Game Preview: South Newton Rebels vs. North Vermillion Falcons

The South Newton Rebels will square off against the North Vermillion Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. South Newton will come in still looking for their first win of the season.

Last Saturday, South Newton lost to Frontier at home by a 59-40 margin.

Colton Marks put forth a good effort for the losing side as he posted nine points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Pass, who had four points and three steals.

Meanwhile, North Vermillion was fully in charge on Saturday, breezing past Owen Valley 67-34. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 22 points or more this season.

North Vermillion pushed their record up to 8-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.8 points per game. As for South Newton, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
