Baseball Game Preview: Los Altos Eagles vs. Bellarmine College Prep Bells

The Los Altos Eagles are taking a road trip to challenge the Bellarmine College Prep Bells at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Los Altos will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

While Los Altos' win against Milpitas wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over the Trojans on Friday.

Gavin Moore was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Bellarmine College Prep and Hollister, and Hollister kept the tradition alive. The Bells fell just short of the Haybalers by a score of 5-3 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Bells have suffered since April 26, 2024.

Los Altos pushed their record up to 14-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Bellarmine College Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 11-9.

Los Altos suffered a grim 7-1 defeat to Bellarmine College Prep in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
