Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jadrian Gilbert and Jamerious Sims Lead Malone to Victory + How To Watch

Malone's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 60-57 victory over the Altha Wildcats. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Tigers have posted since December 3, 2024.

Leading Malone to victory were Jamerious Sims and Jadrian Gilbert. Sims shot 54% from the field to rack up 21 points along with six rebounds and four steals, while Gilbert went 6-for-14 en route to 18 points in addition to eight steals and six assists. Gilbert continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Lonnie Gilbert, who posted eight points and three steals.

Malone's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Altha, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-3.

Malone wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 75-65 win against Marianna on the 5th. As for Altha, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 69-59 victory against Aucilla Christian on the 5th.
