Christopher Mena put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in March of 2024 on Friday. As a matter of fact, he turned in his biggest game of the season, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off only two hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Mena and Crystal City will welcome Hondo at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Crystal City has some work to do to even out the 2-8 series between these two since April of 2019, but a win here would be a good start.
