It was a proper cat-fight when Honeoye Falls-Lima faced off against Geneva on Monday. The Cougars walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Panthers. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Honeoye Falls-Lima had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-17, 25-14, 26-24.

Olivia Gates paced Honeoye Falls-Lima's offense, picking up 11 kills. Gates got some help from Zoey Schrader and her 23 assists. Emily Hart controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Honeoye Falls-Lima's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Geneva, they moved to 4-5 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Honeoye Falls-Lima will host Greece Olympia/Greece Odyssey at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Geneva, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Midlakes at 6:30 p.m.
