Football Game Preview: Fairhaven Blue Devils vs. Seekonk Warriors

For the first time this season, Fairhaven will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will be playing at home against the Seekonk Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Fairhaven sitting on four straight victories and Seekonk on three.

If Fairhaven beats Seekonk with 42 points on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Blue Devils claimed a resounding 42-7 win over Greater New Bedford RVT. The matchup marked the Blue Devils' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Evan Lamontagne produced another solid performance rushing for 183 yards and three TDs on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 55 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only five passes. Those rushing touchdowns marked the first that he has punched in this season.

Meanwhile, Seekonk was able to grind out a solid win over Sandwich on Friday, taking the game 20-12.

Seekonk's win came from a few key players Fairhaven will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Nico Bonafiglia, who threw for 168 yards and three touchdowns on only 16 passes, and also rushed for 65 yards. Ben Figueiredo was another key player, picking up 91 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Fairhaven's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Seekonk, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Everything came up roses for Fairhaven against Seekonk in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 42-14 victory. In that game, the Blue Devils amassed a halftime lead of 35-6, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
