Grossmont - Valley recap September 17, 2013
El Capitan scaled the state rankings by moving to 139 from 249 this week, the biggest jump in Grossmont - Valley. The Vaqueros climbed the ranks as a result of beating Serra 49-14.
El Cajon Valley fell to Christian 66-3 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Santana's dynamic duo of Frankie Gutierrez and Dakota Harp proved tough for Castle Park to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Gutierrez threw for 185 yards and Harp had 99 yards receiving.
The Sultans' dynamic duo of Gutierrez and Harp proved to be unstoppable against the Trojans, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Harp was the best wideout in the league this week as Santana fell to Castle Park.
Gutierrez put up the best numbers through the air as the Sultans fell to Hans Graham's team.
Ben Lomibao was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 97 yards on 14 carries as Mount Miguel fell to the Trojans. Teammate Brad Moreno added to the ground attack by rushing for 58 yards.
El Capitan led Grossmont - Valley in scoring this week by notching 49 points on the Conquistadors.
