Kempsville has gone a perfect 9-0 against Tallwood recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Chiefs will head out on the road to square off against the Lions at 6:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

Kempsville fought the good fight in their overtime contest against First Colonial on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 3-2.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Tallwood's offense. They lost 3-0 to Cox on Friday. While losing is never fun, Tallwood can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 187th, while Cox are ranked 45th).

Kempsville's record now sits at 7-5-2. As for Tallwood, their record is now 2-9.

Everything went Kempsville's way against Tallwood in their previous matchup back in March, as Kempsville made off with a 7-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chiefs since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
