Creekside came tearing into Thursday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Tocoi Creek Toros, sneaking past 59-56. That's more bragging rights for the Knights, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Creekside's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nolan Nelson, who went 6 for 9 on his way to 14 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Derek Rivers, who went 6 of 13 en route to 15 points and three steals.

Creekside pushed their record up to 14-7 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.7 points per game. As for Tocoi Creek, their loss ended a nine-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 18-3.

Creekside and Tocoi Creek should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. Creekside (ranked 55th) will meet Potter's House Christian Blue (ranked 595th) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Creekside is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.4 points per game this season. Meanwhile, Tocoi Creek will face off against St. Joseph Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday up 270 places (45 vs. 315).
