Baseball Game Preview: Crossroads Roadrunners vs. Windward Wildcats

For the second straight game, Crossroads will face off against Windward. The Roadrunners will welcome the Wildcats at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.

On Tuesday, Crossroads came up short against Windward and fell 6-3. The Roadrunners have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Quinn Barach was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed six innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off six hits.

On the hitting side, Jake McCaffrey made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Holland, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

The win (which was Windward's third in a row) raised their record to 11-6. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Crossroads, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7.
