Lago Vista will venture away from home to square off against Manor New Tech at 6:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Lago Vista sitting on seven straight victories and Manor New Tech on five.
Lago Vista is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Travis get on the board and left with a 24-0 win on Saturday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Vikings with their most commanding win of the season.

Winter Callahan made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, firing off two home runs, seven RBI, and one stolen base while going 3-for-4. Those seven RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Lago Vista let Brynlea Cox and Sydney Mosser run wild. Cox went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and five RBI, while Mosser scored three runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. Those three hits gave Cox a new career-high. Sabrina Phillips also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Lago Vista kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.1 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 14.4.
Meanwhile, Manor New Tech put their dominant pitcher on display in the team's fifth consecutive shutout last Friday. They were the clear victors by a 22-0 margin over Travis. Manor New Tech might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by 17 runs or more this season.
Lelani Ceballos was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). Ceballos was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Aaliyah Sinnie was a standout: she scored four runs and stole six bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 1.2 stolen bases per game. Another player making a difference was Alexis Sinnie, who scored four runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3.
Lago Vista's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-9. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Manor New Tech, their record is now 6-3-1.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Lago Vista hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .389. However, it's not like Manor New Tech struggles in that department as they've averaged .407. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
