Softball Recap: Cousino Comes Up Short

If Cousino was feeling good fresh off their 7-1 takedown of Mott on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Patriots came up short against the Utica Ford Falcons on Thursday, falling 12-1.

Cousino saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Riley Gray, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Cousino's defeat dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Utica Ford, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-16 record.

While Cousino had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
