Softball Recap: Tuslaw's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Friday

It was a good run, but Tuslaw unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Canton South Wildcats by a score of 7-6. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 10-7.

Kaydence Chapman and Eiley Bolgiano stepped up to the plate in a big way. Chapman went 2-for-3 with two triples, one run, and one RBI, while Bolgiano scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-4. Those triples were Chapman's first of the season. Gracie Sirgo was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

Tuslaw's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-3. As for Canton South, their victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4.

Tuslaw didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 17-1 win against Rittman on the 12th. As for Canton South, they have also already played their next game, an 8-1 loss against Tuscarawas Valley on the 12th.
