Basketball Recap: Bridgewater-Raritan's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Monday

Bridgewater-Raritan won the last time they faced Eagle Academy and things went their way on Monday too. The Bridgewater-Raritan Panthers strolled past Eagle Academy with points to spare, taking the game 67-48. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 112th, while Eagle Academy are ranked 368th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bridgewater-Raritan's win bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Eagle Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.

Bridgewater-Raritan will take on Piscataway on Thursday. Piscataway knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 contests -- so hopefully Bridgewater-Raritan likes a good challenge. Eagle Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
