Basketball Recap: Ezra Ceaser Key Part of Team Effort in Falcons Win

The Perry Meridian Falcons earned a 75-64 win over the Purdue Polytechnic Techies on Saturday.

Perry Meridian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ezra Ceaser out in front who went 8-for-9 en route to 17 points and eight rebounds. Those eight boards gave Ceaser a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jayden Porter, who shot 60% from the field to rack up 14 points and six assists.

The win got Perry Meridian back to even at 1-1. As for Purdue Polytechnic, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Perry Meridian is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Beech Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Purdue Polytechnic, they will head out to face off against KIPP Legacy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
