If Pontiac wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played St. Joseph-Ogden, they should've done a better job of containing Wyatt Wertz. The Spartans took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 56-21 win over the Indians for which the team can thank Wertz, who rushed for 215 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per carry. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 106.4 rushing yards per game.

Kodey McKinney was another major influence, as he rushed for 65 yards and ran in a TD. His passing game has become a key predictor of St. Joseph-Ogden's success: the team is 5-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 0-3 otherwise.

St. Joseph-Ogden now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Pontiac, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Coming up, St. Joseph-Ogden will face off against Benton at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Spartans will need to watch out since the Rangers have now posted at least 31 points in their last five matchups. Pontiac does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
