Volleyball Recap: Pleasanton Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Pleasanton came into Saturday's contest having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Bertrand Vikings on Saturday. The Bulldogs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Vikings, too.

Pleasanton not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Bertrand between 18 and 20 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-18.

Brittany Riley paced Pleasanton's offense, picking up ten kills. Riley got some help from Kaylee Pierce and her 22 assists. Finally, Kenlie Zweiner kept Pleasanton's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Pleasanton now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Bertrand, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-15.

Pleasanton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Ravenna on the 27th. As for Bertrand, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Loomis on the 27th.
