Volleyball Recap: Cabrillo Extends Winning Streak to Four

Cabrillo waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Santa Maria Saints by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 last Friday.

Matias Salguero paced Cabrillo's offense, picking up ten kills. Salguero got some help from Cody Lawton and his 19 assists. Adrian Silvas controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Cabrillo's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Santa Maria, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Cabrillo has already played their next contest, a 1-0 loss against Carpinteria on the 1st. As for Santa Maria, they will face off against Valley Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Santa Maria is facing Valley Christian Academy at the right time seeing as Valley Christian Academy is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
