Soccer Recap: Middlesboro Comes Up Short

Middlesboro was the 4-2 winner over Harlan County when they last played one another on September 2nd, but their luck changed this time around. The Yellowjackets came up short against the Black Bears on Monday, falling 6-1. Middlesboro have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Middlesboro's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 4-6. As for Harlan County, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2.

Coming up, Middlesboro will be playing at home against Knox Central at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Harlan County, they will head out to face off against Whitley County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
