Basketball Recap: Stone Takes a Loss

Stone lost against Gautier two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Stone Tomcats came up short against the Gautier Gators, falling 57-37. The Tomcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Stone still got an impressive performance from Cleon Johnson Jr, who posted 12 points and five steals. Another player making a difference was Brody Farmer, who had six points and six boards.

Stone's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Gautier, they now have a winning record of 13-12.

Stone will be playing at home against Laurel at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Laurel's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven matchups. As for Gautier, they are taking a road trip to challenge Vancleave at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
