Recap: Desert Mirage RAMS vs. Rancho Mirage Rattlers
The Desert Mirage RAMS lost against the Rancho Mirage Rattlers back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Desert Mirage was outmatched by Rancho Mirage on the road and fell 97-29. While losing is never fun, Desert Mirage can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1419th, while Rancho Mirage is ranked 304th).
Several RAMS players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kevin Ramirez, who scored four points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ramirez has scored all season. Adan Martinez was another key contributor, scoring five points along with six rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Desert Mirage and nudges their season record down to 2-10. As for Rancho Mirage, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-2.
Desert Mirage and Yucca Valley will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Rancho Mirage, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome West Valley at 10:30 a.m. on December 28th. West Valley is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
