While Badger's win against St. John wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Braves narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Fighting Herald 43-41. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Braves.

Maelyn Custer was the offensive standout of the matchup as she almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brinley Rice, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine boards.

Badger smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 11 consecutive contests.

When it comes to explaining why St. John lost on Wednesday, don't look at Milani Johnson. Despite the final result, she shot 40% from the field on her way to 15 points. Johnson is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Marissa Arrieta-Williams, who posted five points in addition to eight rebounds and four blocks.

The win got Badger back to even at 9-9. As for St. John, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Badger didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 42-29 loss against Pymatuning Valley on the 11th. As for St. John, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 35-26 victory against Wickliffe on the 9th.
