Basketball Game Preview: Douglas County Huskies vs. Legend Titans

The Douglas County Huskies will face off against the Legend Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Douglas County is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

Douglas County lost 74-52 to Regis Jesuit on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 181st, while the Raiders are ranked fourth).

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Vaughn Baldwin, who posted seven points. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Gavin Dale was another key player, putting up 11 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Legend didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Grandview on Saturday, but they still walked away with a 72-66 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Titans.

Douglas County's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Legend, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-5.

Douglas County beat Legend 72-63 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Douglas County since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
