While Hoover didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Redwood Rangers on Saturday. The Patriots were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Rangers, so the Patriots were just returning the favor.

Hoover has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Redwood, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Hoover didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Hanford on the 30th. As for Redwood, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Sunnyside on the 30th.
