Basketball Recap: Broome Street Academy Now 6-2 over Last Eight Games

Broome Street Academy won the last time they faced Non Varsity Opponent and things went their way on Sunday too. The Broome Street Academy Warriors walked away with an 84-77 victory over Non Varsity Opponent. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Broome Street Academy had a senior duo take command as Andre Wright went 7 for 17 en route to 21 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals and Samuel Acevedo went 6 of 12 on his way to 18 points along with six steals and five assists. The contest was Wright's third in a row with at least ten points. Ernesto Gonzalez was another key player, putting up six points along with ten boards and six steals.

Broome Street Academy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season.

Broome Street Academy and Non Varsity Opponent will face off at 5:00 a.m. on Monday without much rest having both just played. Broome Street Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 19 games -- so hopefully Non Varsity Opponent likes a good challenge. As for Non Varsity Opponent, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 114-58 defeat against Newman AA on the 26th.
