Forest Lake is 9-1 against Woodbury since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Rangers will welcome the Royals at 7:00 p.m. Forest Lake is coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games.
Forest Lake's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Irondale with a sharp 13-0 win. The Rangers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six runs or more this season.

Annika Antonson made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Forest Lake got a massive performance out of Karianne Drury, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run and two runs. Another player making a difference was Olivia Hauer, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Forest Lake hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in six consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Woodbury ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They won by a run and slipped past Cretin-Derham Hall 10-9. Ten seems to be a good number for the Royals as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Woodbury let Cora Johnson and Maleah Hill run wild. Johnson got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one double, while Hill went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that Johnson has launched this season. Lili Zamorano was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
Forest Lake's win was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 9.8 runs this season. As for Woodbury, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-9.
Forest Lake was able to grind out a solid victory over Woodbury in their previous matchup back in April, winning 5-0. Will the Rangers repeat their success, or do the Royals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
