Basketball Recap: Grace Christian Wildcats vs. Christ the Cornerstone Academy Defenders
Grace Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 73-54 bruising from the Christ the Cornerstone Academy Defenders. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 580th in South Carolina, while the Defenders are ranked 223rd in North Carolina).
Will Jackson was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 23 points and 12 boards for Christ the Cornerstone Academy. Jackson has been hot for a while, having posted 16 or more points the last 13 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Haywood, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and ten rebounds.
