Football Recap: Refugio Takes Down Rosebud-Lott in a Playoff Battle + How To Watch

Refugio had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Rosebud-Lott Cougars on Friday as they made off with a 42-21 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bobcats, who have now won ten matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.

Leading Refugio to victory were Zander Wills and Ray Lewis. Wills rushed for 204 yards and three TDs on only 11 carries, while Lewis rushed for 110 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only nine carries. Lewis' rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his seventh straight game with at least 110 rushing yards.

Refugio didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Rosebud-Lott to a completion percentage of just 48.7%. The team can thank Matthew Perez for the heroic effort on defense: he. Refugio has been improving in that area: they had allowed a completion percentage of 0.64 earlier this season, but they've only allowed one of 0.64 in their last three games.

Refugio didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Perez and Mikel Brown. Jason Delossantos was another major factor on D, forcing two fumbles and making ten total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Daniel Rincon and Pryce Rabroker certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Rincon picked up 116 receiving yards and a pair of scores, while Rabroker threw for 211 yards and three TDs.

Refugio pushed their record up to 11-0 with the win, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.6 points over those games. As for Rosebud-Lott, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-3.

Looking ahead, Refugio will face off against Ganado on Friday. The Bobcats will need to watch out since the Indians have now posted at least 31 points in their last eight contests. Rosebud-Lott does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
