It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Cheshire had no problem doing just that on Sunday. They didn't even let the Ridgefield Tigers on the board, marking their second-straight 2-0 shutout. Give the Rams' pitching crew some credit: that's the team's fifth straight shutout.

Cheshire is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Ridgefield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-12.
