Basketball Recap: Kofa Drops Season-High Score on San Luis

Kofa had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past the San Luis Sidewinders, posting a 75-45 victory. The Kings' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kofa to victory, but perhaps none more so than Luis Negrete, who went 6 of 7 en route to 15 points and five boards. Miguel Ybarra was another key player, going 5 for 9 on his way to 11 points and five assists.

Kofa was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Kofa's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-13. As for San Luis, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-15.
