Basketball Game Preview: Waterford Wildcats vs. Alexander Spartans

The Waterford Wildcats and the Alexander Spartans will round out the year against one another at at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Alexander took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Waterford, who comes in off a win.

Last Saturday, Waterford didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Morgan, but they still walked away with a 54-48 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Meanwhile, Alexander was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 63-37 to Crooksville. The game marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Alexander's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Waterford, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.

Waterford strolled past Alexander in their previous matchup back in December of 2021 by a score of 84-66. The rematch might be a little tougher for Waterford since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
