Basketball Game Preview: North Linn Lynx vs. Edgewood-Colesburg Vikings

The North Linn Lynx will be playing in front of their home fans against the Edgewood-Colesburg Vikings at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Edgewood-Colesburg will be up against a hot North Linn squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. North Linn strolled past Lisbon with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 65-50. Given the Lynx's advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 36th, while the Lions are ranked 128th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Edgewood-Colesburg won against North Cedar on Monday with 57 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Edgewood-Colesburg took down North Cedar 57-38. That's two games straight that the Vikings have won by exactly 19 points.

The victory made it two in a row for Edgewood-Colesburg and bumps their season record up to 6-7. As for North Linn, their win bumped their record up to 12-1.
