Volleyball Recap: Shaker Heights Takes a Loss

Shaker Heights lost against Strongsville back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Red Raiders came up short against the Mustangs, falling 3-0. The Red Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Shaker Heights was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Strongsville work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 29-27, 25-19.

Anthony Pinzone was the offensive standout of the matchup as he had 13 assists and 11 digs. Those 11 digs gave him a new career-high.

Shaker Heights now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Strongsville, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Shaker Heights is set to square off against their familiar foe Garfield Heights at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Strongsville will challenge rival Medina at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
