Christ's Church Academy had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Old Plank Christian Academy Defenders. The Eagles were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Defenders, so the Eagles were just returning the favor.
Delainey McLaughlin paced Christ's Church Academy's offense, picking up seven kills. McLaughlin got some help from Julia Mortensen and her nine assists. Ashley Crick controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.
Christ's Church Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Old Plank Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christ's Church Academy will head out to challenge Covenant School of Jacksonville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Old Plank Christian Academy, they will take on Beaches Chapel at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
