Basketball Game Preview: Symmes Valley Vikings vs. Eastern Eagles

Symmes Valley has gone 10-0 against Eastern recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Symmes Valley Vikings will be playing at home against the Eastern Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Monday, Symmes Valley was able to grind out a solid win over Northwest, taking the game 55-47. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

Brenna Tibbs was the offensive standout of the contest as she posted 23 points. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaitlin Maynard, who put up 13 points.

Meanwhile, on WednesdayOak Hill kept up with Eastern until halftime, but afterwards: not so much. Eastern put the hurt on Oak Hill with a sharp 36-16 victory.

Symmes Valley pushed their record up to 7-10 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for Eastern, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-10 record this season.

Symmes Valley beat Eastern 54-41 in their previous meeting on January 13th. Will Symmes Valley repeat their success, or does Eastern have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
