Soccer Game Preview: Richland vs. Colleyville Heritage

Richland is 2-8 against Colleyville Heritage since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Richland Royals will venture away from home to challenge the Colleyville Heritage Panthers at 6:30 p.m.

Richland is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to six goals last Tuesday, they were much more limited against Grapevine on Monday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Colleyville Heritage). They were the clear victor by a 7-0 margin over Birdville on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Colleyville Heritage and bumps their season record up to 3-5-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those two matchups. As for Richland, they suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 4-4-1.

Richland beat Colleyville Heritage 2-0 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Will Richland repeat their success, or does Colleyville Heritage have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
