Wellsboro is a perfect 6-0 against Coudersport since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Hornets will look to defend their home field against the Falcons at 3:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Wellsboro was handed a 11-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over Cowanesque Valley. The Hornets haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Coudersport). They were the clear victors by a 22-9 margin over Galeton on Thursday.

Ella Wahlers was a standout: she got on base in all five of her plate appearances with five stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ciarra Davis, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and three RBI.

Coudersport was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .485. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Wellsboro's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Coudersport, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Wellsboro took their win against Coudersport in their previous matchup back in May of 2023 by a conclusive 14-4 score. Will the Hornets repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
