Baseball Recap: Maret Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Maret's offense. They lost 7-0 to the Flint Hill Huskies on Monday. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Frogs were not able to get on the board.

Maret saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Spector, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

Maret is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-5. As for Flint Hill, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

Flint Hill will challenge Trinity Christian at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in the Huskies' favor as the squad sits on 14 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while the Gryphons have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. Maret will be paying especially close attention to Flint Hill's contest: after Flint Hill faces off against Trinity Christian, they'll take on Maret again at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
