Buchtel's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Our Lady of the Elms Panthers. For the Griffins, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 victory the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

The win didn't come easy: Our Lady of the Elms scored at least 21 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 19-25, 25-21, 25-23.

Among those leading the charge was Lydia Scrutchings, who had six aces.

Scrutchings wasn't the only good servers: Buchtel was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Buchtel's victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Our Lady of the Elms, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.

Buchtel will be playing in front of their home fans against East at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Our Lady of the Elms, they will challenge North at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
