Basketball Recap: Friday's Victory Is Crestwood's Seventh in Last Eight Outings

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. Ansgar, Crestwood was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the New Hampton Chickasaws by a score of 75-67. Given the Cadets' advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 107th, while the Chickasaws are ranked 252nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Crestwood is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a massive bump to their 13-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.1 points over those games. As for New Hampton, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-15.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crestwood will venture away from home to take on Waukon at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for New Hampton, they will take on Hudson at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
