While St. Helena's win against Lower Lake wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Saints won by a run and slipped past the Trojans 4-3. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Saints also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

St. Helena's victory was truly a team effort as two different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Dean Sommer, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

St. Helena has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Lower Lake, their defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. St. Helena is set to face off against their familiar foe Fort Bragg at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Saints 3.1, the Timberwolves 3) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Lower Lake will challenge rival Upper Lake at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
