Baseball Recap: Davis Comes Up Short

Davis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 11-10 heartbreaker at the hands of the West Valley Rams. Even if the Pirates couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Davis' loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for West Valley, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Davis will welcome Eastmont at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastmont has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.5 runs per game on average), something Davis will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for West Valley, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Stadium at 11:00 a.m.
