The West Field Longhorns will face off against the Cedar Reds at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday. West Field is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.5 runs per game this season.

West Field is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They blew past Logan 11-1. The Longhorns haven't had any issues with the Grizzlies recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Hailee Ellsworth was incredible, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-3. What's more, she posted two runs, the most she's had since back in March. Another player making a difference was Brylee Leatherwood, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: West Field lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, after a string of nine wins, Cedar's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Desert Hills by a score of 5-4.

Cedar saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sadie Parson, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Cedar's defeat dropped their record down to 25-6. As for West Field, their win bumped their record up to 18-5.

Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. West Field hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .380. However, it's not like Cedar struggles in that department as they've averaged .376. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

West Field couldn't quite finish off Cedar in their previous meeting on Tuesday and fell 7-5. Can the Longhorns avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
