Soccer Game Preview: Chisholm Trail vs. Azle

The Chisholm Trail Rangers will venture away from home to take on the Azle Hornets at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Chisholm Trail's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Chisholm Trail's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged Granbury out 1-0. That's two games straight that the Rangers have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Azle fell victim to Aledo and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Bearcats.

Azle's loss dropped their record down to 8-4-1. As for Chisholm Trail, the victory got them back to even at 6-6-2.

Chisholm Trail skirted past Azle 1-0 in their previous matchup back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Chisholm Trail since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
