League recap: Taft dominating on the mound for Fort Edward

Section 2 Adirondack - East's top pitcher this week was Fort Edward's Mike Taft. Over the past week, he had one win and 13 Ks.

Salem (14-3, 8-2) is riding a league-best 4-game winning streak. Two of those wins came in the past week, including an 8-1 victory over Warrensburg and a 19-6 win over Whitehall.

The Flying Forts' pitching was especially stingy this week, allowing 17 hits and eight walks to lead the league in both categories. Fort Edward's pitchers have been charged with only 153 hits and have struck out 116 batters. Sean Morency is tops on the staff with 42 Ks.
