Ozanam fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against the Midland Adventist Academy Mustangs on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 78-72 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs. Even though they lost, Ozanam's still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 52.3 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

When it comes to explaining why Ozanam lost, one person who can't be blamed is Talan Olmstead. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 36 points and 16 rebounds. The matchup was Olmstead's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Quincy Reid, who scored 12 points along with 6 rebounds.

This is the second loss in a row for Ozanam and nudges their season record down to 1-5. As for Midland Adventist Academy, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Ozanam will be playing in front of their home fans against The Daniel Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Midland Adventist Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Kansas City East Christian Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Kansas City East Christian Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
