Recap: Frankfort Falcons vs. Trinity Christian Warriors

The Frankfort Falcons lost against the Trinity Christian Warriors back in March of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Frankfort opened the new year with a less-than-successful 64-52 loss to Trinity Christian. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Frankfort came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 54th, while Trinity Christian is ranked 255th).

Chayce Adams was his usual excellent self, scoring 31 points for Trinity Christian. The matchup was Adams' ninth in a row with at least ten points. Ben Lohmann was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with 14 rebounds and three steals.

Frankfort has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season. As for Trinity Christian, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.

Frankfort will head out on the road to face off against South Harrison at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th. Trinity Christian will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on St. Marys at 7:30 p.m. on January 15th.
